Make your own track system!

If looking through this website makes you want your own track system, here's some helpful tips to help you get started.

  • Make sure to have the track wide enough to comfortably fit your horses.  Most experts recommend a width of 10 to 15 feet.

  • Use temporary fencing and other structures in the beginning.  You don’t know what areas drain well or what areas the horses prefer to rest in.  Waiting to find out the uses of different spots helps you from making costly mistakes like setting up feeding stations in a muddy area.

  • Consider any machinery you want to drive in the track when deciding on the width of it.

  • Electric rope or tape is a good choice of fencing for your first temporary set up.
